Information about bookings & cancellations
Deposit
Per week and room/suite 30% of the total travel price will be charged as a deposit. You are welcome to pay this by bank transfer (please indicate the date, booking number, and name). Bank details can be found below.
Please note that there will be additional costs for deposits from Swiss accounts on the part of the Swiss banks. You can avoid these extra charges by providing us with your credit card number with expiration date and CVV (credit card details can be obtained in the booking confirmation form or by phone) and we will charge the amount.
Online booking
Please note that for online bookings we work with a channel manager, which only recognizes a free room category, but does not see whether the booked room is also free throughout. So it can happen with online bookings that you have to move within the same category! We try to avoid this, but can not prevent it.

Dress Code
To ensure a pleasant and respectful atmosphere in the entire restaurant area, we ask our guests to dress appropriately. Shorts, sportswear and open shoes are not permitted.
Surcharges
- Christmas Eve December 24th, € 60 per person
- New Year's Eve December 31st, € 120 per person. The price includes special drinks and fireworks.
- These supplements are obligatory.
Infinity Pool - Sky Relax Area
You can use our infinity pool with swimwear until 4.00 pm. After 4.00 pm, the whole Sky Relax area including the Infinity Pool becomes a clothing-free zone as part of our infusion programme. Clothing may not be worn in the saunas in the Sky Relax area. This area is reserved exclusively for textile-free saunas. For all guests who do not prefer a textile-free zone, we offer a textile sauna in the Alpine Spa. Here you can relax and sweat in swimwear.
DYNAMIC PRICING
Please note that we work with "dynamic prices". These prices can change at short notice depending on the availability of the room category and season. We work according to the "First Come - First Served" principle and therefore recommend early booking.
Cancellation policy
- up to 2 months before arrival free of charge
- up to 1 month before the day of arrival 40 % of the total price
- up to 1 week before the day of arrival 70 % of the total price
- in the last week before the day of arrival 90 % of the total price
- in case of no-show the full amount will be charged
- in the case of early check-out, 90% of the room rate will be charged as an empty bed fee
Advance reservations
- These are not legally binding, neither for the person making the advance reservation nor for the receiving hotel. It is merely an early notification of a desired stay. In the event of realization and availability, a concrete offer will subsequently be prepared and sent, which can then be accepted or not. The booking, including the obligatory deposit, is only confirmed once the offer has been accepted.
Lift tickets
Ski passes can be issued at the reception and charged to your room. If you would like to save money, buy your ski pass in advance online. To the ski lift website
Proof of age is required for discounted ski passes. The terms and conditions of the lift company can be found at Obergurgl.com.
Dogs
We charge €30/day for dogs (without food). Please register your dog in advance. Your dog will receive a welcome gift. Other pets are NOT allowed!
Arrival
- In Austria, winter tires are mandatory from November 1st to April 15th.
- The last stretch of road up to Hochgurgl is cleared in winter, but snow chains are required in heavy snowfall. The local police check every vehicle.
- The road from Merano/Timmelsjoch to Hochgurgl is closed in winter.
- Rooms on arrival: Your room is ready for occupancy from 2:00 pm
- Rooms on departure: Please vacate your room by 10:00 am
