Hiking tip
Summer tourism in Gurgl is also experiencing an upswing. And that's a good thing, because there is so much to experience, see and enjoy here. Thanks to the summer operation of the mountain railways, it only takes a few minutes to go up to the Hohe Mut, from where there are opportunities for hiking in all directions. After a visit to the natural history exhibition in the Hohe Mut Nature Park, a hike along the Rotmoostal valley leads back to Gurgl. In the other direction, you can hike through the stone pine forest up to the Schönwieshütte or continue towards the Langtalereckhütte at the foot of the Gurgler Ferner. The Zirbenwald via ferrata or a circular hike to the Piccard Bridge are also characterised by sporting achievements and unique views.
